Both are world travelers and they continue to run

C.O. Bigelow - Columbus, OH

Prototype store located at
Easton Town Center in Columbus, OH. Apothecary design that carried Bath and Body Works product and third party brands. This location also included a
Spa, Perfumerie, and demo sinks.
This started as the flagship store for
Bath and Body Works; then Les Wexner,
(CEO for L Brands), fell in love with the apothecary concept and bought the rights to the C.O. Bigelow name....2 weeks before store turnover! In order to stay on schedule and still open on time, two crews and two superintendents had to be managed.
This project is still considered one of Grace's career highlights. It was fun, exciting, challenging, and her first large construction project!
Galyan's (now Dick's Sporting Goods)

Little known fact: L Brands previously owned Galyan's, which was purchased by
and converted to Dick's Sporting Goods.
Customers flocked to this store for its iconic climbing wall, and wide selection
of merchandise. It was a two-story outdoor/indoor retail space that had something for everyone....from athletic wear and gear, to hunting, fishing, and skiing.
The first floor was distinctly different from the upper level. It was designed with sleek and modern fixtures and metal finishes, including the iconic bear logo on its fitting room doors.
The upper floor housed hunting, fishing, skiing, and camping products for the outdoorsmen/woman. The custom fixtures were primarily made of wood and hand painted murals on the corner focal walls, helped to call out the categories.

-
Implement 4 test store locations and review installations.
-
Create project "playbook manual" to illustrate and define scope of work for contractors and store ops. team.
-
Develop schedule and conduct weekly team meetings.
-
Utilize client's online project management tool to document and resolve field issues, RFI's as well as review final punch list photos.
Victoria's Secret - Nationwide locations

Visual displays and props were produced for all Victoria's Secret themed floor sets. Holiday was the most challenging and extensive to manage. This included both 2D and 3D elements for the storefront windows, architectural transition spaces, and VS Beauty areas.
Holiday visual elements included such items as real garland with white flocking, mini presents, and bows; paper "dollhouses" for the storefront window displays; and topper for the fragrance bar in the beauty department. There are also the iconic angel wings (on mannequins) ...named after the models in the fashion show to distinguish each style.
Keds - Columbus, OH

New prototype store designed for
Stride Rite/Keds corporation by
Chute Gerdeman. It was located in
Polaris Mall in Columbus, OH.
Exterior entry had awnings and logo that simulated the same materials as the iconic white tennis show w/blue logo on the back heel.
The challenge for this project was designing capacity fixtures to go in such
a small space and still allow customer circulation. Custom fixtures were designed to be flexible/movable, and large lifestyle graphics reinforced the Keds brand messaging.
Target Ringwood Square - Ringwood,
Victoria, Australia

Updated prototype for Target Australia, featured in VMSD, Sept 1995. The design mission was to review all aspects of store design and create a revised store prototype suited for customers, operations and strategic requirements for "Target Tomorrow." Emphasis was put on the need to enhance customer communications.
The roundel (Target icon/bullseye) was incorporated in shapes and architecture throughout the store and to help customers navigate via graphic way finding elements.
Existing fixtures were utilized but new identifiers (i.e. gondola toppers) were created. We also provided a Design Standards Manual for use in future stores with this new design.
